Rick Testa Sensei holds the rank of Nidan. With a background in different Martial Arts, Testa Sensei began his training with Karate, moving to Aikido in 1998 with the guidance of Gallo Sensei and Capuano Sensei. Testa Sensei founded Inner-City AIKIDO in partnership with RI AIKIDO and PASA (Providence After School Alliance). This is an after school program that instructs youths of the non-violent philosophies of AIKIDO, while learning a viable self-defense system. Javier Alfonzo Sensei holds the rank of Shodan. Alfonzo Sensei started with Full Contact but only lasted for 2 years, having the feeling that he was learning how to fight but not how to control himself or others. At the age of 18, he began practicing Wushu (Chinese Martial Arts) for over 5 years until he discovered Aikido under the instruction of Hector Villagomez (Nidan, back then in Venezuela). He began practicing formal Aikido when he was 24, joining Shoshinkan Dojo in 2002 under Gallo Sensei and Boehm Sensei. His motto "Be a good UKE, you'll be a great NAGE".
